Equity Bank customers can now pay for DSTV subscriptions using a new Eazzypay Paybill Number

Equitel users can now pay for their DStv monthly subscription using the new 6800009 Pay bill number.

DSTV subscribers can either pay through their Equitel mobile number or their Eazzy Banking App from any mobile network. The Paybill number will make it possible to pay for DStv’s bouquets that include DStv Premium, DStv Compact Plus, DStv Compact, DStv Family and DStv Access.

Additionally users can pay for their GOtv subscription using the same 6800009 Paybill number. Equitel is aggressively expanding its Eazzy Pay payment platform that allows users to pay for their bills at no extra cost with the addition of Jambo Jet and eCitizen on to their platform.

Latest data from the Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) show that Equitel processed transactions worth Ksh251.6 Billion in the second quarter of the 2016-2017 fiscal year, a 15 per cent increase from Ksh219.6 billion that was transacted in the quarter before.

Overall Equitel increased its market share in the value of mobile money transactions to 22 per cent up from 20 per cent from the previous quarter. Equitel additionally increased the number of transactions processed through the platform to 89.6 million up from 63.9 million which is a 40 per cent growth
